Erin's Own GAC, Cargin - Club Crest
The Crest which adorns the breast of all Cargin teams was designed by local artist Margaret O' Neill/Close, and it depicts the personality of the club.
The Eel, and the sheaf of barley, are representative of the fishing and farming communities which are prominent amongst the membership. The Celtic Cross signifies that Toomebridge, is the resting place of Roddy McCorley, who was hanged on the bridge across the river Bann following the '98 rebellion, whilst the crossed hurls, and football show that Erin's Own was formed as a dual club.
